I took this photo at my cousin’s wedding last year. This is an interesting Bible, as it is a Welsh translation. As far as I can work out, it was published in 1832.

This was taken in a game farm near Plettenburg Bay. You would not believe how difficult it is photographing while riding a horse.

General rule: keep the shutter speed as high as possible, and try and time your shots with the horse. I’ve got tons of blurry photos from this trip. Yes, it was the horse’s fault.

Or as in one Gary Larson cartoon, “The african buffalo, an animal with little or no sense of humour”.

Makanyane is the Tswane name for wild dogs. They are endangered and very rare, and I had the fortune of seeing these incredible animals close up in Madikwe game reserve last October.

Used a 70-200mm f4 L lens with a 1.4 teleconverter.
